classes, special exam and ete dates

there have been some instructions and developments regarding examination and classes. these are as,

* 10th march is working and there shall be regular classes

* 14th is a holiday

* 15th - 21st are the dates for special exam

* during 15th-21st, classes shall be conducted from 0845 - 1320pm. the exam shall be from 2-5pm

* the ete has been rescheduled and now the exam shall start from 2nd may, 2016

* the last day for classes for the current term shall be 29th april, 2016

You have enough time to prepare and present.

Guidelines for the presentation:
1. Confine your presentation to the topic only
2. Find information about the method of construction, materials used, any new method used, any milestone the building has etc.
3. Do not collect information about the history of the structure, politics involved etc
4. The slides should have less of text. You should try to explain and NOT to READ from the slides.
5. The fonts should be legible. Colour contrast should be pleasant.
6. Try to inlcude at least one figure in every slide which is RELEVANT to the content in the slide.
7. You are being given total 30minutes. 15-20minutes for presentation, and rest for discussion
8. You shall be awarded marks on the basis of

• quality of the content (6)
• the way it was presented (6)
• team work (those presenting individually will loose marks here) (3)
• overall quality of the presentation (5)

Marks in the last two shall be same for all the members whereas it would be different for individually in the first two.

fees payment and deadlines for hons programme

All those students who have applied for Hons programme, are adviced to pay the fees to the accounts department and submit the receipt to me.

Also they are adviced to start the project work as there is not much time left for them to complete the work.

The tentative deadlines shall be as,

29th March - Submission of Synopsis
8th April - Submission of Result and Analysis
15th April - Submission of draft report
22nd April - Submission of final report
May 3rd week - Viva for the work done
